Bread & Pickle at the Lake Harriet bandshell this Sunday at 8 am. We will meet at the small covered shelter on the lake that is just southwest of Bread & Pickle.
They are open and have plenty of outdoor seating.
Most of Lake Harriet parkway remains closed to vehicle traffic to allow more room for pedestrians. So, plan to park on a neighborhood street nearby. Here is a detailed map of the closure.
And here where to find up-to-date info on all parkway closures in Minneapolis:

Not held on the first Sunday in October due to Twin Cities Marathon. Not held on the days of Twin Cities Race Walkers Events except for the April and November events which are held in conjunction with this weekly walk.
This is a day of easy walking with short bursts of faster speeds thrown in for variety. We regroup and chat a bit after each 1.6 mile lap of Como Lake. We adjust speeds so that we usually have only 1 or 2 groups of walkers. The group walks counterclockwise around the lake, so if you come after 6pm, just start walking clockwise and you will find us. Bathrooms and water are available at Como Park Concession all year round.
Wednesday 5.30 pm at Como Carousel/Conservatory. Park by the carousel. There were few parkers there and there are picnic tables in the shade next to the carousel (on the side away from the Conservatory). This is about half a mile west of Como Lake.

Same walk and format as Wednesday (above) at Como Lake
Racewalkers on the North Shore are meeting on Tuesdays 8:00 am at the Coast Guard Station parking lot in Grand Marais, MN. We walk various routes in the Grand Marais area: sometimes out to Croftville Rd or County Rd 7 or other streets in the area. Please wear a bright yellow jacket or shirt. These routes frequently are on the wide paved shoulders with adjacent traffic (the logging truck drivers will give race walkers a big wave for good luck !)
Coaching is usually available at the weekly walks in a public forum (that is, others may/will be listening to the coaching session). If you desire private coaching, please make your arrangements with the coach outside of the weekly walks.
