Course - USA 15km Race Walking ChampionshipsUSATF Course Certification: MN-07034-RR. The course is a 2km loop on a straight, flat, smooth, asphalt section of the Greenway Trail with no road crossings and no vehicle traffic. The course has no camber or other side-to-side slope. There are great sight lines to see other race walkers because the course is so straight and flat. The Greenway Trail used to be a rail road track going into the heart of Minneapolis. The trail is below grade, with an overpass at every block, providing ideal locations for spectators, and keeping traffic and exhaust well away from the course.
The start/finish line is located in the exact center of the 2km out-and-back loop, making it easy for you to obtain 500m, 1km or 2km splits. The event hotel is adjacent to the start/finish line, for easy access before and after the race.
